Matthew Schmid – Executive Director
Matthew grew up on a farm in northeastern Ohio and was involved in 4-H, FFA, Youth Group, and many other leadership-based programs. He is a highly motivated, results-driven professional with exceptional technical and troubleshooting talents. Matthew is experienced in team-building, workforce management, virtual education, quality performance coaching, technical support, and network administration. In addition, he has a heart for supporting people and experience in nonprofit creation and administration, as well as board building, selection, and management.

Meanwhile, Matthew continued to study, and in 2021 Matthew graduated with honors from Liberty University with a Counseling Degree. Additionally, he received a certificate in addiction studies from Columbus State Community College. Matthew purposely chose to diversify his education between conservative and liberal schools to give him a well-rounded edge. One of Matthew’s aspirations is to be a reconciling force between the church and LGBTQ people. As Matthew says, “You cannot reconcile people you fail to understand (on both sides).”
Besides being the team’s Executive Director, Matthew works full-time in program performance management. Matthew is excited to see what the next few years bring to TRM now that he can fully and competently manage this project!
